(01) Brief
A website for turning text into explainer videos.
Knowlify turns PDFs, notes and research papers into short explainer videos. The brief asked for a one-page site with a fresher look, built to book demos.
01
One pager
Everything on one page, with room to go deeper.
02
A fresher look
A refreshed visual language for the brand.
03
Book a demo
One clear call to action, all the way down.
(02) Problems
The old site didn't say why, or for whom.
Before drawing anything I went through the site, the YC page and a founder interview, and wrote down what was missing.

- No benefits or features: nothing said why to choose it, or what it does.
- The YC page likens its videos to 3Blue1Brown's. The site never did.
- No section on who it's for, while each industry had a page of its own.
- The numbers and the security story sat on the About page, and the testimonials were buried.
- The demo turns a document's images into animations and edits videos by chat. The site showed neither.
(03) Research
Who, what, how and why.
I split the research into four questions: who it's for, what it is, how it works and why it helps. Then I put eight competitors side by side.

(04) Structure
Structure and words before any pixels.
I settled the order of the page, sketched it as wireframes, then wrote the copy with AIDA so each heading leads to the next.

(05) Visual design
Many tries at the page before the final one.
I gathered landing pages, bento grids and textures into a moodboard, then explored the hero, benefits, who it helps and testimonials in turn.

(06) Final design
Clear about what it does, and who it's for.
The new page opens with what Knowlify does and its 3Blue1Brown-style videos, then the problem it solves, who it helps, its features, pricing and the team's story.

(07) Response
Its co-founder shared it.
I posted the redesign on X. Jonathan Maynard, one of Knowlify's co-founders, quoted it.
